First I showed y'all my Christmas redbirds, then we moved on to good ol' St. Nick and the jolly little elves. This week it's all about the real reason for this season, which is, of course, the birth of Jesus Christ.
I love my heavenly Christmas angels and cherubs too and thought they fit in best here with Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wisemen...
And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh |
And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger |
Quite a collection you have there. And don't remind me about all of the wrapping I have to do. Haven't even started yet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSchool canceled here...icy roads.
Thank you. Everything is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous collection of angels and decor. It looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've wanted that nativity set for a few years. It's so serene.
ReplyDeleteI love those. Especially that nativity. Love love love that you told us that story. I never tire of hearing it!
ReplyDeleteI love your wooden nativity! I also love glass angel ornaments... they way they catch the light. Our church does a Joy Gift program every year and as part of it, the children make ornaments representing the different elements of the Christmas story and then decorate a tree which is delivered to an nursing home.
ReplyDeleteThis year, because we're traveling, our tree is small and decorated mostly with the extra ornaments the kids brought home... I've never had a tree that so well represents the Christmas story... I'm LOVING it!
