1. Fossil Wallet. I LOVE Fossil but it is hardly ever on sale and I'm just not one to fork over a bookoo of money for a little thing like a wallet or a purse. But I found this one marked down at Belk last summer (and I had a coupon) so I jumped right on it. Score!
2. Three lipsticks and three chapsticks. Because apparently I prefer my lip products in threes. Also, I can never seem to find the perfect shade so I like to mix them together.
3. iPhone. Because just like every other person living in the First World today, it is the one thing I absolutely cannot leave home without. How did we ever manage before? I'm not sure my boys know what a payphone or an encyclopedia even are. And I know they don't know how to read a map.
4. Two church bulletins. Because I always stuff them in there on my way out of church on Sunday and I've had this bag now for exactly two Sundays. I have never been diligent about tossing things like this out although I know full well it would make my life much easier (and less cluttered) in the long run.
6. Hand sanitizer and lotion. Because I like clean, moisturized hands?
7. Checkbook. Because sometimes the occasion still arises in which I must write a check. I still remember my very first checks, back in the early 90's. They had pink flamingos on them. The ones I have today aren't nearly that exciting.
8. A pen without a lid. Because I never fail to lose the lid which is why every purse I own has ink somewhere on the liner.
9. Two fingernail files. Because I needed a spare?
10. Two packs of gum. Because sometimes I feel minty and sometimes I feel fruity. But mostly fruity.

ReplyDeleteI never go anywhere without my hand sanitizer in tow...not about to take any chances! I can never find the right shade of lipstick, either. In fact, I bet I own 15 tubes of the stuff! It always looks so good in the tube, but the moment I put it on my lips, it changes color. What's up with that?!

ReplyDeleteI love Fossil too and I always fuss at the prices of the wallet saying, "Who do you think you are Coach?" And then I say, "But I want you!" You must have had a special Belk coupon. Mine always says you can't use them for Fossil. STINKS. Your contents look a lot like mine. I do have a wallet like that that I use with a Camel purse in the summer and I chew a different kind of gum (EXTRA - Sweet Watermelon). I'm going to look for your Trident one.
ReplyDeleteAll I carry around these days is a Vera Bradley key chain/change purse thingy with my necessary cards- driver's license, debit, ss, insurance. Now if I could just simplify my house...LOL
ReplyDeleteI use to have gum in mine. Lil Duck recently discovered the joys of gum chewing and it evidently looses flavor after about 5 minutes. She has to spit it out and start over. :D I have the exact same hand lotion...great minds.

ReplyDeleteI only carry a wristlet along with my school bag, so most of this stuff won't fit, but I do have a lot of it in the pockets the bag! :-)

Does anyone even get fancy checks anymore? I only write checks to the schools and to church ... and now the schools have FINALLY switched over to electronic paying. A box of checks lasts a year.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of church, they really should have a trash can on the way out like a movie theater so that I can toss all of the bulletins, flyers, candy wrappers, and broken crayons instead of shoving them in my purse to live out their days.

I am probably one of the few "others" out there that has been holding out on getting an iPhone and only because I know I wouldn't be able to refrain from playing...I mean using it to look up meaningful stuff. Ha!
